Until June 6th, it is possible to participate in the study "The impact of organizational culture on the mental health and well-being of legal professionals", conducted by the Collaborative Laboratory ProChild CoLAB in partnership with CIPsi and promoted by the association Direito Mental.
The study aims to analyze how members of the Portuguese legal community feel and are doing. The objective is to generate knowledge that allows for the development of strategies and/or initiatives that promote the health and quality of life of these professionals.
Researchers from the Psychotherapy and Psychopathology Laboratory at CIPsi are collaborating with the study. João Tiago Oliveira highlights the importance of putting scientific research at the service of populations, especially in an area of vital knowledge for today's society such as Mental Health. These types of projects, in addition to promoting the creation of new knowledge, allow for equipping various agents of society with tools in the fight against the progressive increase in the prevalence of anxiety and depression disorders. Promoting mental health literacy, identifying early indicators of psychological distress, and designing prevention measures adapted to contexts are fundamental objectives in this fight.
Participation involves filling out questionnaires available on the ProChildForms online platform and should take a maximum of 10 minutes. Lawyers registered with the Bar Association or legal professionals working in a public or private organization can participate anonymously. Results will be released in September.
