How does affective touch cause analgesia? Unravelling spinal and supraspinal factors (A-38450)

Using various electrophysiological indices we will evaluate how affective touch modulates nociceptive/somatosensory input at different processing levels, from the spinal cord, through brainstem nuclei, up to cortical areas involved in top-down mechanisms.
